"Paniniriffic"

Food Truck

2/29/15

(Encountered at one of my local favorite hang-outs Southern Brewing & Winemaking)

From the Green Book:

My Paniniriffic experiance began with a ~25 minute wait in line to order, surrounded by hungry people who'd ordered some time before. "Ten minutes," she said when I finally ordered. Fifteen minutes later, she brought me my order: "Frita's," a pair of beef & chorizo burgers on pressed cuban bread.

The description sounded great. The product was... good, but not great. I liked the seasoned sweet potato fries okay, but the little sliders needed something (cheese? sauce?) to balance the meats. While I was eating, she brought me a fried guava pastry (which I didn't order), and that was pretty good.

I'd try another panini from her, I suppose, but not the same one.

Scoring:

  • Logistics: 2/5
  • Tastiness & Execution: 3/5
  • Value for Money: 4/5

Average: 3.0
